Adelaide:
The push to have a Crows reserves team in the SANFL league competition next year hinges on changing the concerns of at least three state league clubs.

Brisbane:
The Lions have announced that Matthew Leuenberger and Dayne Zorko have both signed contract extensions with the club.

Carlton:
Out-of-contract Carlton utility Jeremy Laidler is focusing all his efforts on winning over coach Mick Malthouse after being re-made as a forward.

Collingwood:
History says that Collingwood will respond strongly after this weekend’s bye, particularly in the first half of its next match against Port Adelaide.

Essendon:
Defender Courtenay Dempsey has returned to the training track for the first time since suffering a heavy knock against Sydney in Round 10.

Fremantle:
Ross Lyon says the Dockers hierarchy are setting themselves to take “one run” at the returns of stars Matthew Pavlich and Aaron Sandilands in the second half of the season, and would take a conservative approach to avoid any hiccups.

Geelong:
Emerging midfielder George Horlin-Smith has re-signed with Geelong for another two seasons, tying him to the Cats to the end of 2015.

Gold Coast:
Guy McKenna is confident Gary Ablett will finish his career on the Gold Coast, and believes the Suns’ pending success will appeal more to the champion midfielder than a romantic return to a Geelong team that may have begun to decline by then.

Greater Western Sydney:
Josh Bruce has impressed Hawthorn legend Dermott Brereton, but the former Eastlake junior is still trying to impress Greater Western Sydney into giving him another contract.

Hawthorn:
Collingwood premiership captain Tony Shaw has urged Hawthorn to issue Lance Franklin a two-week contract ultimatum.

Melbourne:
Neil Craig has not ruled himself out of applying for the job as Melbourne’s senior coach beyond 2013 after taking over the job from Mark Neeld, who was sacked on Monday.

North Melbourne:
The $800,000 raised by North Melbourne at a special fund-raiser will enable the Roos to pay the minimum salary cap required under the AFL rules this year.

Port Adelaide:
Port stopper Tom Jonas has put his hand up to silence Sydney key forward Kurt Tippett at AAMI Stadium on Saturday.

St Kilda:
